The Shimano Zodias B BFS Casting Rod is specifically engineered for Bait Finesse System (BFS) fishing, giving anglers the precision and sensitivity needed to cast lightweight lures with baitcasting equipment. Designed for small soft plastics, finesse hard baits and other lightweight presentations, the Zodias B BFS combines specialized light-power actions with Shimano's premium rod technologies.
Shimano's Hi-Power X blank construction uses diagonally wrapped carbon tape to increase rigidity and resist blank twist. This creates crisp rod control while improving casting accuracy and helping the rod maintain power under load—important when using lighter BFS tackle.
The hollow Carbon Monocoque Grip increases vibration transmission so anglers can better feel subtle lure movement, bottom contact and light bites. A lightweight CI4+ reel seat provides a rigid connection between the reel and blank while helping keep overall weight to a minimum.
Premium Fuji Alconite guides provide smooth line flow for lightweight line and small-diameter braid. These rods pair especially well with compact BFS reels when fishing finesse jigs, small crankbaits, tiny topwaters, small soft plastics and other downsized bass presentations.
