Shimano Zodias B Series Solid Tip Bass Casting Rod

The Shimano Zodias B Solid Tip Spinning Rod is built for highly technical finesse fishing where sensitivity, precise lure control and bite detection are critical. The solid-tip models feature Shimano’s TAFTEC INFINITY technology, producing a thin, highly sensitive tip that allows anglers to impart subtle action while detecting extremely light bites. Shimano states that TAFTEC INFINITY delivers greater strength and sensitivity than its previous TAFTEC α solid-tip technology.

The blank incorporates Hi-Power X construction, which uses diagonally wrapped carbon tape to reduce blank twist and increase rigidity. The result is crisp rod control, accurate casting and improved responsiveness when working lightweight finesse presentations.

A hollow Carbon Monocoque Grip enhances vibration transmission from the blank into the angler's hand, while Shimano's lightweight CI4+ reel seat further improves sensitivity and provides a secure, comfortable connection to the reel.

These solid-tip models are particularly well suited for drop shots, strolling, finesse minnows, small soft plastics and forward-facing sonar techniques, where subtle bait movement and visual bite detection can make the difference.
