Shimano - Swagy Spinnerbait

The Shimano Swagy Spinnerbait is designed to combine the strength needed for solid hooksets with the vibration anglers want from a high-performance spinnerbait. Its specialized tapered-wire construction uses different wire diameters in the upper and lower arms to balance durability, blade vibration and overall lure performance.

The heavier 0.95mm lower arm provides strength and resistance to deformation when setting the hook or fighting fish, while the thinner 0.60mm upper arm allows blade vibration to transfer efficiently through the wire and into the skirt. This design gives the Swagy a strong combination of durability and fish-attracting vibration.

Shimano uses specially designed cupped blades that start quickly and generate strong vibration throughout the retrieve. The Swagy is offered in two blade configurations: Double Willow (DW) and Tandem Willow/Colorado (TW). The Double Willow is excellent for faster retrieves and added flash, while the Willow/Colorado combination provides increased vibration and lift.

A low-center-of-gravity head design helps stabilize the spinnerbait and keep it running true, even when burned at higher retrieve speeds. Available in 3/8 oz. and 1/2 oz. sizes, the Swagy gives bass anglers options for everything from shallow cover to open-water presentations.
