The Evergreen Modo Jack Hammer Baby Jack ChatterBait takes the proven performance of the original JackHammer and packs it into a more compact profile for pressured bass and situations where fish are keyed in on smaller forage. Co-developed by Brett Hite and Morizo Shimizu, the Baby Jack was specifically refined for tough fisheries in both Japan and the United States.
A downsized stainless-steel ChatterBlade produces a tighter, higher-frequency vibration with subtle flashes during the retrieve. Like the full-size JackHammer, its direct blade-to-head connection allows the blade to begin vibrating immediately while producing the signature blade-to-head contact and helping the lure deflect away from cover.
The compact jighead uses rear-weighted construction and an enlarged collar to maintain excellent balance and a natural horizontal swimming posture. This design also improves casting distance, allows the lure to cut through the water efficiently, and helps it stay deeper rather than quickly rising toward the surface. A premium DECOY Egg Snap provides a secure line connection.
The Baby Jack is armed with a sharp 3/0 medium-wire DECOY hook and dual-wire trailer keepers that securely hold soft-plastic trailers. A wire-tied silicone skirt completes the compact presentation. It is offered in 1/4 oz, 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz sizes.
