The DSTYLE Geelacanth is a highly versatile elastomer bait designed to create lifelike movement with even the smallest amount of rod action or water current. Built around a bluegill-inspired profile, the Geelacanth combines a ribbed body, numerous fine appendages, and an active tail to produce a presentation that looks alive whether it is swimming, falling, or sitting nearly still.
Its soft and flexible elastomer construction allows the thin appendages surrounding the body to react independently in the water. The ribbed profile catches water during the retrieve, helping the bait roll and move naturally while creating additional vibration. At the rear, the Virola-style tail responds differently depending on retrieve speed—producing stronger movement when worked aggressively and a much more subtle action when the bait is slowed down.
One of the biggest advantages of the Geelacanth is its rigging versatility. It can be fished on a weighted weightless rig, Neko rig, Texas rig, drop shot, free rig, Carolina rig, leaderless drop shot, or used as a jig trailer. Anglers can also add weight near the chin to help position the bait vertically and create a different swimming posture.
