The BassMooch Claud Hopper Jr. Crankbait packs a unique finesse-cranking action into an extremely compact profile. Measuring just 1.75 inches and weighing 1/6 oz., the Claud Hopper Jr. features an oversized diving bill relative to its small body, allowing anglers to reach bass that are feeding on small baitfish without moving to a larger crankbait.

Despite its tiny profile, the Claud Hopper Jr. is designed to dive approximately 2–5 feet and can reach beyond 5 feet under the right conditions. Its distinctive action works best with a slow-to-medium retrieve; BassMooch cautions that retrieving it too quickly can overpower the bait's intended movement.

Another standout feature is the single #4 treble hook. The larger-than-expected hook provides plenty of hooking capability for such a small crankbait while eliminating the hook-to-hook tangles that can occur with traditional two-treble designs. BassMooch says the Claud Hopper Jr. underwent three years of development and prototyping.
