The BassMooch Bray Z Suspending Jerkbait delivers a realistic baitfish presentation with an aggressive, erratic action designed to trigger reaction strikes. Its lifelike shad-shaped body and short diving bill create sharp darting movements when twitched, making it an excellent choice for targeting bass feeding on shad and other baitfish.
An internal weight-transfer system provides excellent casting distance, helping anglers cover more water and reach schooling or suspended fish. Once in the strike zone, the Bray Z is designed to suspend and can be worked with a variety of twitch-pause retrieves. It runs approximately 3–5 feet deep, making it a versatile shallow-to-mid-depth jerkbait.
The Bray Z is equipped with sharp treble hooks, stainless-steel flat-sided split rings, and a feathered tail treble for additional movement and attraction during pauses. BassMooch notes that after acquiring Profound Outdoors and the Azuma brand in 2025, the original molds were retained.
