The VMC Tokyo Rig is a versatile bass-fishing rig designed to keep your soft plastic separated from the weight, giving the bait more freedom of movement and natural action. Developed for techniques such as punching heavy vegetation, flipping cover, and bottom fishing, it combines the power of a heavy-duty hook with the flexibility of a drop-shot-style presentation.

The rig features a premium rolling swivel and solid welded ring, allowing the bait to move freely from side to side and up and down. A 2.5-inch stainless-steel dropper arm holds your choice of weight below the bait, keeping the weight away from the hook during the strike and helping improve hook-up performance.

One of the Tokyo Rig's biggest advantages is its customizable weighting system. Simply slide your preferred tungsten or lead weight—and beads if desired—onto the dropper wire, then bend the end of the wire with narrow-nose pliers to secure everything in place. This allows you to customize the rig for everything from lighter bottom presentations to punching thick grass mats.

The VMC Tokyo Rig is particularly effective around hydrilla, milfoil, grass mats, laydowns, bushes, stumps, and other heavy cover. Once the weight reaches the bottom, the soft plastic remains elevated and free-moving, creating an enticing presentation even when worked in one spot.
