The Shimano BT Bait 99SS is a compact, slow-sinking multi-jointed swimbait designed to deliver an incredibly natural baitfish presentation for pressured and suspended bass. Developed and proven in Japan, the BT Bait combines a three-section hard body with a flexible elastomer tail to produce smooth, lifelike swimming action across a wide range of retrieve speeds.

Measuring 99mm (3.9") and weighing just 1/4 oz., the BT Bait 99SS is perfectly suited for finesse swimbait applications. Its slow-sinking design allows anglers to count the lure down to the desired depth and keep it in the strike zone longer, making it especially effective for targeting suspended bass.

The three-jointed body creates a natural side-to-side swimming motion, while the soft elastomer tail adds subtle movement and realism. The jointed construction also allows the lure to maintain an enticing action at both slow and faster retrieve speeds.

Shimano's SCALE BOOST technology uses composite-pitch holographic patterns to recreate the complex reflections of real baitfish scales. This added realism makes the BT Bait particularly effective in clear water and situations where bass have plenty of time to inspect a lure.
