The Picasso BFL SmackDown 5 Blade Umbrella Rig is designed for tournament anglers who need a compact, durable umbrella rig configured to meet BFL-style limits of five blades and three hooks. It delivers the flash, vibration and bait-school profile needed to trigger suspended and schooling bass while allowing two additional teaser baits to complete the presentation.
Picasso constructs the rig with heavy-gauge low-visibility Inviz Wire, which provides increased durability while helping keep the fish's attention focused on the swimbaits rather than the wire frame. The flexible wire also produces a pulsating action during the retrieve and quickly flares open when the rig is paused.
A combination of Willow and Indiana blades produces both flash and vibration, creating the appearance and disturbance of a compact school of fleeing baitfish. The lightweight, impact-resistant head features an embedded nose swivel that helps reduce line twist and limits a hooked fish's ability to use the rig for leverage.
