The Evergreen Bullpoint Shad is a 4.5-inch soft-plastic swimbait and bladed-jig trailer designed by professional angler and lure designer Morizo Shimizu. Created as an ideal complement to the Evergreen Jack Hammer, its body and tail are engineered to enhance the vibration and hunting action of a bladed jig rather than overpower it.
The Bullpoint Shad features a thick, deeply ribbed front body that adds bulk behind a ChatterBait skirt while providing plenty of material for the trailer keeper to grip securely. The additional body mass also helps with casting and creates a fuller baitfish profile in the water.
Toward the rear, the body transitions into a thinner segmented tail section that transfers vibration through the bait. A vertically forked, V-shaped tail adds drag and produces a tight, erratic action whether the bait is retrieved slowly or burned through grass.
Although designed to shine behind a bladed jig, the Evergreen Bullpoint Shad can also be used as a soft swimbait when anglers want a subtle baitfish presentation for bass.
