Berkley Unlock Crankbait

The Berkley Unlock Crankbait changes the way anglers approach crankbait fishing by putting depth control directly in their hands. Unlike traditional crankbaits that rely on a fixed diving depth, the Unlock features an innovative sinking design that allows anglers to target fish throughout the water column. Whether you're fishing shallow grass lines, suspended bass offshore, or steep rocky banks, the Unlock gives you the freedom to adjust your presentation and keep your bait in the strike zone longer.

One of the biggest advantages of the Berkley Unlock is its countdown depth-control system. Instead of waiting for a traditional diving crankbait to reach its maximum depth, anglers can simply allow the Unlock to sink to their desired level before beginning the retrieve. This means more of every cast is spent fishing where the fish are holding, rather than wasting valuable distance getting the lure down to its running depth.

Designed with a hydrodynamic body and precision-balanced weighting system, the Unlock delivers impressive casting distance, stable tracking, and smooth performance through a variety of fishing conditions. Its streamlined construction helps the bait move efficiently through the water while allowing anglers to fish shallow cover, open water, and deeper structure with confidence.

What truly separates the Berkley Unlock from ordinary crankbaits is its ability to produce multiple fish-triggering actions with simple changes in retrieve speed and rod movement. During a steady retrieve, the Unlock produces an enticing crankbait-style swimming action that imitates a fleeing baitfish. When the retrieve is paused, the lure delivers a unique hover-and-flare action, creating a sudden change in movement that can trigger aggressive reaction strikes from following fish.

For anglers who want an even more erratic presentation, changing the retrieve cadence or adding short rod twitches produces a darting, jerkbait-style action. This versatility allows the Unlock to imitate injured, escaping, or disoriented baitfish without constantly changing lures.

Equipped with Berkley Fusion19 treble hooks, the Unlock delivers sharp penetration and dependable holding power when fish strike. Its durable construction and versatile swimming characteristics make it an excellent choice for targeting largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, walleye, and other predatory gamefish.

Available in three sizes — 52, 62, and 72 mm — the Berkley Unlock allows anglers to match the size of local forage while maintaining complete control over fishing depth and retrieve style.

Whether you're casting across shallow grass flats on Lake Guntersville, targeting suspended bass with forward-facing sonar, or working steep offshore breaks, the Berkley Unlock Crankbait provides a unique combination of depth control, casting performance, and strike-triggering action designed to help anglers make every cast count.
