The Picasso Urchinator Urchin Bait delivers a unique finesse fishing presentation designed to entice bass with subtle, lifelike movement. Featuring a distinctive body surrounded by flexible appendages, the Urchinator creates continuous underwater action that imitates natural aquatic forage and helps trigger strikes from even the most pressured fish.
The Urchinator's numerous soft appendages respond to the slightest movement, allowing the bait to come alive as it falls, hovers, or moves through the water. Its compact profile and natural action make it an excellent choice for targeting suspended bass, fishing offshore structure, and working around fish that refuse traditional soft plastics.
Designed with versatility in mind, the Urchinator can be paired with several specialized Picasso rigging accessories, including Picasso Cradle Heads, Hanger Weights, and TPE Balance Weights. These options allow anglers to customize the bait's balance, fall rate, and presentation to match different fishing conditions.
Whether you're using forward-facing sonar to target suspended fish or presenting the bait around offshore structure, the Picasso Urchinator offers a unique combination of finesse appeal, natural movement, and customizable rigging options.
Rigging Options
Picasso Cradle Heads
Picasso Cradle Heads provide a dedicated jighead-style rigging option for the Urchinator. The cradle-style design supports the bait while allowing anglers to fish it with a controlled, weighted presentation. This setup is ideal when additional casting weight and a consistent sink rate are desired.
Picasso Hanger Weights
Picasso Hanger Weights provide an alternative way to add weight to a compatible Urchinator rig. Anglers can select different weights to adjust how quickly the bait descends, making this option useful for targeting suspended bass at varying depths.
Picasso TPE Balance Weights
Picasso TPE Balance Weights offer another way to fine-tune the Urchinator's presentation. Designed for compatible TPE soft plastic applications, these weights allow anglers to adjust the bait's balance and fall characteristics for a more controlled presentation.
By experimenting with these three rigging options, anglers can customize the Urchinator for different depths, fishing techniques, and fish behavior.
