A FiZ pellet produces taste, scent, bubbles, warmth, and sound that last for at least eight hours. The reaction will stop after the FiZ pellet has been removed from the water for a short time and will begin again when it is re-wetted. The scents and tastes are non-artificial. Scents such as garlic, crawfish, leech, smelt, and ballyhoo are available along with some ten others. Even though the initial concept was to insert a FiZ pellet into tube lures, FIZ is produced with a hole through it that allows the fisherman to put the FiZ pellet on the line before tying on tackle. Or, by cutting the pellet in half, the pellet can be slipped onto the hook itself. Field-testing has shown many interesting innovations as to how the FiZ pellet can be used and the fish’s reaction to lures utilizing FiZ.
