With more than two decades of lure crafting experience, Kelly Barefoot founded Custom Lures Unlimited in 2003 as a lure repair & repaint service. By 2006, CLU became his full time occupation. Since then he has crafted thousands of lures, designed for tackle companies in the US, Europe & Asia, world champion pro anglers, & fishermen from around the world. Between the years 2004-2018 he designed dozens of concept lures & developed hundreds of unique & productive color patterns. He is the inventor of the TackleTour Innovation Award winning Zero Gravity Jig. In 2011, CLU purchased Danny Joe's Original Floating Worm Co. Kelly is married & the father of two. He is an avid hunter, freshwater and saltwater fisherman, freelance photographer, graphic designer & outdoorsman. He holds a degree in Psychology & has 15 years of experience in the field. He holds an International Game Fish Association Certificate & is the recipient of the 1st IGFA Freshwater Line Class Award for the State of North Carolina. In 2013, he created & developed Catch Outdoors, a subsidiary brand operated by Custom Lures Unlimited. In 2015, he launched Hero Skinz, unique compression sleeves and sun wear protection for outdoorsmen and anglers. By late 2015 the transformation from CLU to Catch Outdoors began, which includes a broader range of tackle designed for multi species, fresh and saltwater. Spring of 2017, Catch Outdoors launched those newest tackles under the name brand BITE! In early 2018 Catch released its latest soft plastic creation, the World's Finest Catawba Worm. The next generation of Zero Gravity lure tech, the Hybrid AirDrop, was released in June 2018. In early 2019, both the Zero Gravity Hybrid AirQuake and Mopzilla were released online.
