Champion Introduces the Highly Anticipated 198 Elite Bass Boat Champion Introduces the Highly Anticipated 198 Elite Bass Boat

Murfreesboro, TN – Pro-fishermen, who are searching for the perfect rig for serious tournament fishing, can now utilize the style, quality and speed of their boat with Champion Boats’® new 198 Elite.

Champion Boats, based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, has always kept in mind and met the needs of serious tournament fishermen when building its quality boats for almost 30 years. “This year, Champion is offering a boat with plenty of space, but also small enough to get a fisherman where he or she needs to go,” said Champion representative Jeff Riggins. “The 198 Elite is the boat that everyone has been waiting for.” Capable of handling from 175 to 225 horsepower, the new 198 Elite is designed, built and equipped for competition as well as comfort. In fact, the extra-wide front and rear casting decks offer enough room to make all passengers comfortable while on the water. Comfort not only in the spaciousness, but comfort in knowing that a Champion boat is the smoothest, driest boat on the market, no matter what type of weather conditions arise.

“This is the boat that Champion customers have been waiting to see,” said Richie Rodgers, Champion’s sales manager. “It has evolved from a family of high endurance boats and it is every bit as functional and sleek as the others. We just took it a step further.” Since comfort and accessibility are very important keys to a successful day of fishing, standard features of the 198 Elite include: Dual Lowrance fish finders; a hinged, divided livewell with a Two-Stage Hydro-Air and Aeration system; a 50 gallon fuel tank; and one Atwood clamshell fishing seat and one tournament-style bike seat. The total length of the 198 Elite is 19 feet, 8 inches making it easy to maneuver. The 95-inch beam also helps the 198 carry at least 5 people or up to 870 pounds comfortably. This boat features a livewell capacity of 27.4 gallons. All of these features, plus Champion’s reputation for a smooth, dry ride, makes this an excellent rig for any fisherman. The 198s are nice boats, perhaps a picture of one would've complimented the article. The boat pictured is an 03 188.
