Wilderness Fishing at its best.
Remote Island boat-in offers you 35 different lakes to fish for Pike, Walleye, Trout, Smallmouth, Largemouth and Perch.
There is little to no fishing pressure in Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario Canada. The crystal clear waters of Bear Lake that surround the island offer Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Whitefish, Walleye and Jumbo Perch.
Our island is remote. From our pickup point in Espanola, Ontario, it's 37-minute boat ride to Bear Lake Wilderness Camp. We provide each two customers with a 16-foot aluminum Lund and a Honda 4 stroke outboard. We provide all the gas! From this 16-foot Lund you can fish any point on Bear Lake plus 9 other major lakes.
Our remote location in Killarney Park offers the opportunity to fish where there is little to no fishing pressure. Killarney Park is roughly 40 square miles of Wilderness Park. So in addition to the 10 major lakes you can fish from Bear Lake, we have secure boat caches on 25 outlying lakes that offer Fantastic Fishing in a beautiful remote setting.
Nestled in Killarney Provincial Park, and just one ridge from the LaCloche Mountains, Bear Lake Wilderness Camp provides beautiful scenery. Picture walking through the pristine wilderness enroute to a lake where fishing pressure is slight. Imagine fishing a lake with no one else in sight. This is all in the cards for you at Bear Lake.
We have boats on all of these lakes. All you have to do is carry a small trolling motor and your fishing tackle to the next lake. Attach the motor and away you go!
Some of these lakes are famous for catches of plate-sized panfish. Other lakes will provide trophy Pike as well as offer limit catches of both Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass.
Fishing these back lakes combines fantastic fishing with beautiful scenery. The Angler is rewarded on both counts. It is not unusual for our customers to pull in some trophy size fish on these lakes while enjoying the sights and sounds of the forests.
