Ft. Loudon Lake

My buddy and I were fishing a catfish tournament on Ft. Loudon Lake, Tennessee. I was using gizzard shad as bait. The depth was around 65 ft. Water temp 80 degrees. 12:00am. The fish must have swam into my line around my hook because the line was wrapped around it's snout about a foot up from the hook. It took around 25 mins all together to get the fish in. The paddlefish looked very healthy and did not have a sore or mark on him. It weighed 60lbs and was right under 6ft long. This was the third one that we know of that has been caught around us, this being the biggest. The other two were around 25lbs and 5 lbs. This catch for me was the biggest to date. Too bad it was not a catfish!
