This fish was caught in the late afternoon on the reservoir using a Mepp's spinner. It was 3.5 lbs and 23 inches long.

Apparently Chain Pickerel respond to voice commands. We were about to head home and I wanted to make one last cast. As I cast my lure, I said to my son, boy, I sure would like to catch something. As soon as I said "something" it struck.
