This is different from most of your questions but perhaps you can help. Over 40 years ago, I learned a little poem about fishing conditions. But I can't remember the last line. It went like this... "Wind from the west, fish bite the best. Wind from the east, fish bite the least. Wind from the South, blows the bait in the fish's mouth. Wind from the north _________." Have you heard this poem? Do you remember the last line?

Thanks!

Read Answer Dave, me and my family love to fish but we don't have a boat or anything to get us out into the water. So we have to fish from land and i was wondering how you can help me and my family by giving us ways to fish and ways to catch fish by fishing on land. We usually go fishing in erie if that helps. For bait we use worms and minnows some lures but they usually don't work for us. So can you tell me what type of bait/lure to use and how to use it for me and my family to catch some fish? Thank You

Read Answer Hi friend:
i have two questions:

1. In wich way fishing is affected by the lenght of the rod? Please explain to me why there are so many diferent sizes in rods and what this has to do with fishing. When is a short rod (say 5.5 feet) recommended and when is a long rod (say 7 feet) recommended.

2. Which are the advantages and disadvantages of a spinning reel and how is the best way to use them?

I'll feel really grateful to you if you help me on this...thank you!!

I'm a writer for Nickelodeon and currently doing a story on fishing with kids. I'm interested in highlighting 4 different fish that kids may catch in lakes or rivers. Can you name any that are pretty common nationwide and that are around 10-12 inches in length. Thanks,

Read Answer Hey captain, you seem to be down on outboards because of gas consumption. But isn't it true that the 4 stroke outboards actually consume about 1/3 less gas than the equivalent HP 2 strokes and that the benefits of having an I/O or inboard versus outboard are diminishing.
